1. I'm not a ricer, despite your attempts to paint me that way. I drive a modded Impreza. Not a fart can attached Civic.
2. The Cobra does handle well. But the STi handles much better. I'm not being arrogant, it's a fact, look at any of the many magazine comparisons. The Cobra will obviously have higher top end, but the Impreza has better bottom end acceleration. It's 0-60 in under 5.
3. I don't even know what you meant with your third point. I wasn't discussing movies. I'm discussing real world, street performance, where the Impreza's AWD launch would have it well out of the hole by the time the Mustang stopped spinning.
4. I didn't bother watching your video. Both cars can do amazing things on stock internals.
5. Very observant of you that they aren't close to their 100th anny, when I just told you when they started making cars. And we aren't discussing that anyway, I was disputing your claim of Ford making turbo 4's prior to Subaru's existance.
A few more things, this isn't about who has been doing what longer, it's about who does what better. If you want to discuss power per litre, Subaru wins. If you want to discuss built, track dedicated only drag cars, of course the Mustang wins. But the Impreza is a much more capable road course car. Basically, both cars play to the strengths of their engineers.

The record's held by a Fox body. OWNED.

What record would that be? It's not the fastest 1/4 car, certainly. And that car isn't street legal. So it's not even in the discussion here, really.
I don't really want to be in an argument with anyone here, so let me say this, when I was looking at different cars before I bought my Impreza, I had my choices down to 3 cars. Impreza, Mustang, Miata. The Subaru is the most capable, across all motorsports, of the three choices. I rally, I auto cross, and I drag race. I couldn't build the Mustang or the Miata to handle all three. That's what it came down to for me. I wouldn't debate with you for a second that the Mustang can be built to a much better drag car. But again, that is the Mustang's intended purpose, wheras the Impreza can also be built to a capable drag car, but this isn't its true purpose.
Good luck with your Monster Miata project, they featured one of those in Sport Compact Car a while back, but I don't think the V8 was from a Mustang. Now THAT, will be a sick car.
