9 volt battery? Man i thought i was pushing it with the custom 6 volt ni-cad pack i made.The motor gets real hot after about 4-5 minutes. I guess maybe cause the amp draw. But my little monster mt does get some awesome wheelie action. And it is also very fast. I am currently waiting for a tamiya plasma dash Jr motor i have on order at my local hobbytown usa store.
which will make it insanely fast.The plasma dash is a motor made for 1/32 scale slot car racing(particulary drag) and has the same can dimentions as a typical Mabuchi motor(the stock canned heat motor). I also noted with the added voltage the steering was also improved. Anyway i totally suggest this mod to anyone it really was a lot of fun. And i am more than willing to give you any help or advice i can offer.
