Yes. They are lighter than the metal shaft that comes with the cars. Less weight means it takes less power to start the shaft spinning. Better acceleration, and responsiveness. Good Value.
There is a downside though, (it may have been brought up before, but for the sake of answering the question it bears repeating)
you need to use metal bearings with carbon fiber shafts. The carbon fiber is quite abrasive and will tear up the nylon bushings that come with the car originally or can even bind up on them.
