yea it was on the expensive side.
I tried using a Futaba S3003 servo.
They can be modded into a speed control.
But it started smoking after running the supplied tank motors.
I could have modded the gearbox to take the servo motor but it seemed easier to use the esc at the time.

Oh well, if I decide to put in a 14 turn 540 motor it should take it

I wonder if the ZZ SE pcb can be modded to pass 1 amp.
Of course I would be hogging up 2 channels.
