Lightbulb It will work

Yep a 27mhz bit PCB will work in a 27mhz zip.

The most important tip is to TAKE YOUR TIME!

1st I opened both PCB covers a looked very carefully to see wire configs. then I made a small drawing of the bit board and marked all wire colors on the drawing so I could refer to it during assembley. Pay attention to the layout on the bit PCB the only wires that are diffrent colors are the motor contact wires. Remove the wires from the PCB (Bit PCB first) and have the Bit PCB ready to install before removing the wires from the Zip PCB.

The one step I was very careful on was when I removed the +red wire from the zip board(there is also 2 steering wires here) I imediatly soldered the 2 steering wires to the red wire to make it easy to install to the bit board without having to guess which wire went where. This mod is very easy with a little patiance. I soldered the motor wires last because I reversed them so the zz controler fwd and rev were correct. Thats all there is to it. I did not have to change steering coils or contacts just the PCB's.

Things you will need
15watt solder iron low heat so not to add too much heat to the PCB.
Tweezers to hold and control the steering wires
And thin silver bearing solder

If anyone is good with tech. drawings and can provide a layout of both PCB's I'll add touching points
