Your best bet is to search the forum for info on these issues. They've been rehashed many times before.
As a general rule, for straight line stuff, the stiffer the springs the better. Some people, myself included, double up the springs. I use 2 blues per damper on the back and 2 yellows per damper on the front. People's setups vary. For cornering, too hard and you'll get wheel hop and un-desireable levels of oversteer. Too soft and you'll get too much body roll and understeer.
The higher angle of steering rod you use, the sharper your turning radius will be, but it will slow you down in the straightaways. The stock piece is made for top speed.
