If you want propo electronics for the xmod, try out the mini-x RS set. Tiny sells it for $65, and I've seen it for as low as $50. It comes with a fully functional 27MHz AM Rx, an ESC that has been able to handle a 6 cell 180 in 4wd on my mini-x, a micro server and even crystals. All you'd need is a Tx for it (Tiny sells a solid one for $38). They're some of the smallest electronics out there and maybe not the best quality, but what do you want for $50? :P I don't have an xmod so I'm not positive if they'd be a perfect fit, but I'm sure you could make them fit.

Oh, and to top it off, there are 2 open slots on the ESC for adding fets ($4 online), which would probably make for the easiest/cheapest fet upgrade ever. I haven't done it yet, but its on the books. I hear the A handling is about 8A (stock) but I dunno if thats continuous or peak. Haven't found much info on the FETS (30100 something).

If you want higher quality, theres always the full hobby grade electronics. You can find discussions on those all over the board.
