Honestly, I've never seen a 1/10 scale that used a pressed-on pinion. They all normally use pinions held on by setscrews. The only advantage to using the larger puller is that it may be more durable. The disadvantage is that it may not "fit" the 130 motors as well. Mine is a larger type (not the same brand though), and I practically need three hands to use it. (A pair of vise grips and an adjustable wrench serve as substitutes)
