I've used the HS-55 with the smaller 2 leg servo horn, clipped one leg flush. Used an 00-90 screw in the middle hole of the remaining leg and clipped off the balance. A little heat shrink on the very small screw threads and it fits perfectly into the stock tie rod.

Really like your mods and hope to have a similar "Production" chassis set-up soon.
