Re: best single speed bit

After doing a lot of research, I have found that the Motorworks bit (with the standard bit body) that's sold at Walmart is the best you can get while comparing price, performance and quality.
I have compared this car with the lxx Modellista with blue gears and 4.2 Pro, Charge-N-Go, iracers, MicroBlast, zip zaps, zip zaps se, Phat Boyz, Thunderbolts? sold at Big Lots, Panthers, Motorworks Nascar in the hard plastic casing, the new Motorworks Nascar with the spring suspension, Microsizers Pro with blue gears and 4.2 Pro, Road Gear sold at ShopKo and some other cheap clones.
The Motorworks bit has the following:
1) A motor similar in performance to the 4.2 Pro motor (fastest bit motor that's readily available) sold by Toyeast at Ebay for $8.60 including s/h. This car is dead on with the hopped up lxx's and Microsizers pro's in terms of acceleration and top speed.
2) It's gear ratio is equivalent to the blue gears on char-g's and zip zaps (higher acceleration/lower top speed). These are the gears you want for racing.
3) Comes with a variety of wheels, rims and attachments for your car. Depending on which car you get, the wheels are very soft, good grip rubber and come in various diameters and treads that you can't buy with any bit upgrade kit. Some cars come with slicks.
4) The best part is that these cars are only $9.88 at Walmart. If you wanted to buy a faster motor for your bit, you should really consider buying one of these instead. Only problem is that it's hardwired (shouldn't be a problem if you have a soldering iron).
5) Steer system is different with a single coil and two magnets. Unfortunately this gives it a slightly larger turning radius than two magnets and one coil simply due to the coil thickness. But you can change that by swapping wheels to compensate the turning radius. Shouldn't matter especially if you dual cell mod the car.
Hope this helps you new guys looking for a good reliable bit.

And yet you've not compared it with and SPBG
