Unfortunately, fashion sense and common sense don’t find themselves in the same room often.
The real reason people put ugly wings on their cars is for looks. Simple as that. Any street racer that tells you he gets a performance improvement out of it is lying. They can try to hide behind logic, saying that they have a marked performance in traction, but it’s not necessary on a street car!
Especially on the x-mods, wings weigh down the model. You are better off taking it off and filling the holes. Even if aerodynamics did matter on that car, you can bet your money that the wing doesn’t act like a real wing. It’s a plastic mock-up, no more. No performance value whatsoever. Any way, its not necessary.
Getting back on topic…
I would race my car, but it’s too darn cold and snowy!!! The best courses around here are the parking lots.
However, my car isn’t up to par yet to compete with the mini Z or other mini cars. I still need to install the Teflon sealed ball bearings, aluminum drive shaft, carbon fiber H plate, Team Losi 180 sized motor, and competition grade wheels and tires. Maybe it’s good that its not warm outside, or I would get owned on the track.
