If they went ahead and produced even just
half as much as is on demand, and for some reason the market didn't grab at it the way it has, RadioShack would have lost simply unimaginable wads of cash. They're playing it safe. From their end, it's not like making people wait it a terrible idea - sure, you're all mad at them, but you're still giving them your money.
