Hmmm, the cleaning suggestion might do the trick, I should have known better.

I am an experienced modeler for at least 15 years, and have never seen anything like it. When the paint hits the plastic, it would seperate and pool(kind of like how oil and water seperate). so the whole car was dotted with dry patches and wet patches. The following coats on the car would do the exact same thing. By the time I got enough coats on the car that the paint would cover the dry spots, the finish was pitted because of the build up in the wet spots. With all of the fine details in the body, I didn't really feel like getting out the sand paper and giving it another try.

Have either of you painted a Motorworks before? Has anyone painted a motorworks before? The model I am doing is the hummer in the square bullet case.
