Yeah a top plate would be way cool...

To lay the batts flat they would probably have to be locked in place by a top plate and that could make changing them harder.....If the chassis is designed to use the Mini-Z bodies only, then the width becomes wider and the batts could possibly be laid flat in holders. But then you need wider offset wheels.......might be able to hook up with Mini-Z to make the rims.............................................. ....

also i drive 89 240sx with a sr20det swap and including the car the vette killer only cost $6,000 and i have some upgrades like a boost controler,quafe lsd,and R33 intercooler.you say $50,000 $3,500 and you have a car and a swap that at stock 5-7psi of boost will smoke a vette all day long.
