9 volts battery / 1.2 volts per bulb = 7.5 bulbs (8 bulbs to be used)
(Round up to the nearest whole bulb, that way you do not have to worry about the bulbs overheating.)
So if you want to use a 9 volt to power your lights you will need a 9 volt clip to connect the 8 bulbs to the battery.

Thanks man it does. I thought about using a 9v battery but I'm concerned about the weight. By the way I'm only using for bulbs.
