In theory, you are correct.
But, I have read posts where some frequencies that are fairly might cause interferrence, especially if the cars are close to each other on the track. I have no personal experience, but just things I have read. This reported problem might be exagerated due to PCB crip cap removal. Also, a pots adjustment might help remedy the problem too.
But don't let this worry you, you should be ok.
