ah yes i forgot to mention. the headlights will be functional. i am going to try to do something for the tails but i dont want to ruin the look so i may not.
while it is a shame to paint over the wrc stuff, i have another of the exact same. I bought this one specifically in mind to do this. you can get them at tower hobbies for $21 w/o shipping
the body is a kyosho mini-z body and yes they are the same size. Since I put it on my civic chassis i had to switch the front motor mount around so i could shorten the wheel-base. I did size it up on my skyline though and the front body mount is way too low so think about those things first i guess before taking this mod on.
i also forgot to mention that i used little precut velcro squares on the battery clips and inside of body to make it hold.
