if you read up on drifting techniques for a real car it will aid you a bit in drifting a xmod.

only differneces are these:

xmods don't have brakes (big one, you'll have to learn how to deal with this)

xmods don't have transmissions (harder to do a power slide)

xmods have a far lower center of gravity and a radically different suspension gemotry compared to a real car (makes for insane grip, but makes drifting harder yet)

So really all you have is steering technique, throttle control, weight distribution, whee; camber, and tire choice to paly with. It's a lot of decisions, but not near as much as in a real car.

Still read up on real car drifts, and watch a few videos of real car drifts....since those tend to be easier to see the wheel work and so on.

After you get the basics down, it's all a matter of preference. I myself prefer powerslides, but those are rather hard to pull off on an xmod....I found the stage 2 drag (red) motor is a nice one to use for this. I also chose to keep it RWD so I have all the power I can get for drifting, the AWD kit gives you too much grip and robs you of some power.
