If possible...
with a clone shell, the paint jobs are usually not as good and can be taken off easily without much difficulty.
For bits and microsizers the paintjob is sealed in that really shiny plastic coating so you might need something better to take it off. My friend used an alcohol bath which left his red lancer pink and gave it a sizable crack down the side.
I personally used Pine-sol with shenqiwei bodies, but when I used it with a bit the body melted. Some people say when you use pine-sol you MUST have your hands covered because a little of your hand oil + the pine-sol will dissolve the plastic shell.
So use gloves.
Some people have recommended pine-sol, alcohol, oven cleaner, goo gone, nail polish remover
I have tried:
pine-sol: works really well but possibility of having chemical reaction and melting your shell
alcohol: kinda difficult but works, too much can leave cracks in shell
nail polish remover (acetone): left it in a cup of nail polish remover over night and the next night the shell dissolved...
and other people say just paint over the original paint job.
I don't know if that's possible if you're removing the paint that is covering the lights.
