About your other questions;
Charging: Check the threads on bit science. There's some good info on there. I use a modified digi-q multicharger to charge my dualls. Digi-q makes a charger that charges four cars at once. You'll have to find something different for tri+cells though.
It will work with a booster car. I was only saying that it's not good to run a motor in unboosted mode unless you have pro series type motors. Tomy motors and other motors can't handle the voltage pulsing very well. It will kill the motors fast. A booster car is just a 2 speed car. It doesn't go any faster then a regular one speed car. What it does do is it breaks the voltage up into pulses when it's unboosted, so it doesn't get a steady current going to the motor, in other words it gos slow. When you hit the boost button, it operates like a regular 1 speed car.
As long as you wire the batts in series and have good connection it will go much faster and have more torque.
