Battlefield

It doesn't look nearly as cool in the daylight. The board was designed with night battles in mind. Also, I wanted a good surface for the tanks to maneuver without getting stuck, without contaminating the wheels and mechanics, etc.

Some details:
Materials:
4x8 sheet of plywood
large piece of tan vinyl tablecloth material
rags, etc.
HO railroad buildings with lights
Ruined buildings made from fome-cor board
HO railroad trees

Place plywood on coffe table, put rags, etc on plywood board where you want mountains, ridges, etc.
Drape tablecloth material over whole thing, smoothing over the obstacles made with the rags to suit.
Place buildings and ruins where you think they will make the battle interesting.
Hook up lights to 12 volt supply.

I'll post a daylight picture when I get a chance.
