At least, I think dont use it. Smell the lubricant, if it smells nasty, it will degrade plastic, not to the point of melting it, but just weaken it structurally. I plan to use silicon oil, or a white lithium grease; used in airsoft (and RC I imagine) to go easy on the plastics.

I just thought Id post this as help, without bringing up the old topic. I know a few guys on here apparently swear by it, but Ive heard it was bad for plastic.
