i have some pinch rollers............so how did you get the old wheels off? PULL? and how did you secure the tires to the rear axle so its secure and doesnt slip?
I took the steering knuckles off the car with the stock wheels still attached. I then took a small pair of cutting pliers and applied a small amount of pressure between the knuckle and the wheel to move them apart slightly. Then I pulled it off the rest of the way. The back wheels I just cut off with the pliers a little at a time until I had a clean axel on both sides. I used very small brass nails on the front wheels for pins as the pinch rollers are too wide to use the stock pins again. I used a vertical drill press attachment I have for my dremel and re-bored the knuckles to fit the nails. Pushed the nail through the roller, into the knuckle and trimmed off the excess that came out the back. You have to dremel the pin down flush on the back or it will rub the frame. There is no room behind the knuckle. On the back, I used the drill press again to re-bore the pinch rollers to the size of a small piece of wire insulation. I slipped the wire insulation bushing into the pinch roller and super glued it. Then, I just slipped the bushing onto the rear axel. The bushing also allows you to set the back rollers out a bit more so they stand out from the body at the same distance as the front ones. You could also cut off the front wheels too. It is easier than pulling. You can do the whole mod without the drill press attachment, it's just easier with one.
