Well, if you want really fast, a ZipZap isn't your best bet. You should look into a Digi-Q R, it will beat any tri-celled+ ZipZap. It's also a bit smaller and has better range. I have a Digi-Q setup...

With the controller hardwired, it should be giving the charging base 3V. My Bit only requires 2.4V for the batteries. A standard controller would be fine to charge with.
