RX-7 starring The Pullback Mod
 

I just put the front pullback mod on my MS RX-7, looks pretty phat! I'm pleased. The only thing I wasn't too pleased with was the fact that I had to trim my chassis a tad to get the front pullback wheels on the front knuckles, to not rub against 3 specific spots on the chassis on each side. It hasn't ruined the integrity of the chassis so all is well, but the rear pullback mod doesn't require this. Once again showing the front pullback mod and the rear pullback mod both have pros and cons.

nice mod!!! looks real nice on the rx7.
why did it rub the chassis? did you use spacers? im about to do a FS wheel mod with normal wheels and im going to use spacers so that it wont rub the chassis, BUT im thinking it might be too far out and then it'll probably rub the body? i dunno...gotta try it and then see how it goes, i'll have pics up for sure.

It rubbed on the chassis because the front set of wheels on the pullbacks are actually sucken in to the rim instead of even with the outter ring of the rim. It's just enough to cause your wheel to scoot in just a hair and enough to rub on a few spots of the chassis. :mad:
I shoulda used spacers, but just was in a hurry and not paying attention to the details.
I'm not sure which wheels you're talking about but I'll tell you this... I'd much rather the wheels slightly rub on the body rather than the chassis. If you take the time, you can usually trim out the inner part of the body to get rid of the rubbing, but trimming on the chassis always sucks in my opinion.
I'd go with the spacer idea and trim the body.

...and eventually, yes, I might lower it - but right now noxorc got my attention with another mod for it so we'll see which comes first! :p

I've done this mod and instead of trimming the chassis I cut very small spacers to go on the front axles. I cut the spacers off the hubs of Pullback's front spindles.

hind sight, I would suggest doing that as well.
