I just finished my stripes and moulding.

This used to be my ten mph dual cell, but I got tired of going so fast, so it's now a single. I also took out the 2 extra steering springs, and used these ZZ front knuckles and tall front wheels. I don't know if you can tell, but the rims are chrome.

bB
lowered, ZZ wheelset (red), clone motor, 150mah cell (used to be dual cell befor I lowered it), MS chassis, and clone PCB. I also customized my Tx with the orange buttons.

Gimme some feedback.

I hope you can see the lower moulding okay with the black background.

sweet! I love it, dude! I'm a big fan of the bB. I just wish that more people would do stuff like this to theirs...that and I wish Tomy or someone would release a full body instead of just the open deck...oh well...still a tite job! Gets an A+ in my grade book.

Yeah man...thats a nice bb...does it have FS wheel mod or SS wheel mod? and is it easy to lower a FS wheel mod car?

the paint job is also nice...and goes good with the rims. Nice car!

Yeah, it's a FS mod with ZZ wheels. (so I could use the chrom'ies. Lowering the FS mod is no different as long as you got front tire clearance. I didn't even have to widen out the wheel wells.

Very cool BB! I like how the wheels look on the lowered BB.

I think I'm going to lower one of my BB bodies since i haven't did that yet.

What's the procedure to lowering a BB, chelboed?

You need to ask yourself which part of your car is despensible. The chassis, or the shell?

3 ways to lower:

1. Make new slots in the body above the orig. slots.
Pros- Saves chassis, and allows for you to put any other body on the current chassis.

Cons- Leaves a weak slice of plastic between the two new slots. Makes new hole in shell.

2. Cut chassis tabs off and put new ones on below.

Pros- Saves body to put on another chassis. Keeps from leaving a weak slice of plastic to hold body on.

Cons- Not all bodies will fit on chassis now. (the ones that do, will be lowered if you want that)

3. Cut tabs on chassis and tape foam on sides to hold body on, or use velcro or tape underneath.

Pros- All bodies somewhat fit on the chassis. No harm is done to the body.

Cons- All bodies SOMEWHAT fit on the chassis. Body doesn't stay on too well.

I personally feel it is cheaper to replace a shell than to get a new chassis. I usually cut a new slot in the shell above the origional one. You notice that on this one, the thin piece of plastic between slots has been broken off on the front and rear. I used to have this car as a tricell, then dual, but now single. I put a small amount of foam on the sides of the chassis to help hold the shell on. The tabs still do a GREAT job of holding it as well. I can acutally pull up (rather firmly) on the shell and it'll be at it's normal height.

I prefer the slot method, but for looks (if you don't want 2 slots) you may want to move the tabs. Although you can't really notice the slots especially if the rest of the car looks good.
