Mhz chip replacement?

...can i replace the mhz chip in a clone controler ( or any other rc controler ) with a M/s mhz chip?..

yah but youd have to solder it back in

i dont think it would work well. a 57mhz controller has a 57mhz crystal in it but it also has circuitry built around that frequency and characteristics might be different than say 49mhz. but its not that hard to try so why not if you are bored.

It should work fine. I've transfered clone crystals over to zip zap controllers with no problems.
