tympano 03-22-2003 09:58 AM

I ordered two yesterday. And they shipped yesterday. I've never ordered from rcmodels/ehobbies before but they're doing well in my book so far.

Grampa 04-01-2003 07:07 AM

Thanks to tympano for the price drop notice and the link!
(although you have cost me $57 so far.......)

I love people & places that appcet PayPal!

We have a bunch of Zip Zaps and micro clones for the grandkids & us to play with but this one is for me!

If it works well we'll get more. I like the thought of proportional control.

Namuna 04-01-2003 08:33 AM

strakka,

johnk @ MRCC definitely deserves the kudos for putting those 5-point rims from the 'Dub City' 1/64th Diecast cars (Jada Toys) on his Puchi. This coming weekend I'll hit a few local Department stores (maybe Kmart, Target, Walmart) and see if I can find some of those Dub City kits.

The Bits, Microsizers, ZipZaps, Epoch (Spec-2) and Puchi Maru ALL use 1/3AAA size (physical: 10mm x 15mm) batteries.

Grampa,

Don't worry, you're going to LOVE the proportional control...If you're only experience was with the ZipZaps, this is a CONSIDERABLE upgrade in control!

strakka 04-01-2003 09:31 AM

hey namuna if you see any jada city rims can you get a set for me?? i cant find any up here in toronto............
anyways what happened to my thread that had johnk's 3 cell puchi and rims mod?? i thnk when i get them im going to do a 3 cell and a 4 cell on them..... hope it doesnt fry the PCB though................ that would really suck........... especially since you cant get any hop ups

akura2 04-01-2003 12:14 PM

Where can I see pics of this Puchi with the swapped out rims?

Namuna

I had a bunch of Mini-Z's and loooooooong before that I raced 1/12 & 1/10 scale. Back before RC10's...........like Tamiya era.

Zip Zaps are neat and we have fun with them but these could be even better!
