Futaba 1/20 Delphi Indy car
 

Well I finally did it, I ordered one of these from Tower Hobbies. It seems like a really cool car thats similar batterywise and motorwise to my MiniX (kinda like a MiniX F1 minus the 4WD) I will be adding two more NiMH AAA cells to bump it to 7.2 volts, I hope it improves the speed as much as it did my MiniX. Does anyone else own this Indy car? I wonder what kind of upgrade motor will fit in the stock location, it doesnt seem to have any extra room for a bigger motor can. Is a 180 motor same size as 130? You cant beat the deal for a whole outfit car and controller and electrics for 79.00. Only the DRR RTR was cheaper at 59.00. I have the Dynamite Rocket racer on order also, I wonder which will be my fave? Any comments on the Indy car will be mucho appreciated. :)

I got my Futaba Delphi 1/20 scale indy car today. Man its a COOL car. I tried it out on my kitchen floor and it has great steering and top end speed. Lacks a bit of punch but i guess thats just how its geared. The body is prepainted and made of plastic, pretty sturdy. Scale wheels and very nice T-plate rear suspension. It has plenty of room to add two more AAA cells for the magic 7.2volts, I wonder if the stock electronics can handle that? Anyways, here is a couple pics....

i got one...mini-z wheel nuts work and i think x-speeds and similiar non-turbo motors will fit;)


good cars but they turn like crap and have weak front susp.:(
