Okay. I see you're from australia so I'll assume you don't own one.

I agree with you on the wild thornberries thing. The older zips were weeker than bits but they have improved drastically. They are electronically equal to bits now. I like both bits and zips, I own more bits than I do zips, if you count the clones. And yes we are talking about radio shack so not too much can be expected from them seeing as this is only one product for them, popular or not.
I was calling Tech_lord out on his use of words. I think it's stupid calling things that are not breathing gay. I also see that he's located in australia (or so he has written) and doubt that he even touched a zip.

hogjowlz 03-17-2003 02:46 PM

maybe he was saying that he thought zipzaps were cute ;-)

sessiz10 03-17-2003 03:47 PM

Maybe:D

Tech_Lord 06-01-2003 07:36 PM

Have you seen the 2F2F bodies? The amazingly detailed Yenko Camaro and 1970 Challanger? Those are both muscle cars. All the other bodies (not the convertibles) sit pretty low. I think the paint on the ZZ is also glossier (sp?) than the paint on the ZZ. As far as I'm concered, a Challenger, a Yenko Camro, a Skyline, a Lancer EVO VII, an Eclipse convertible, an RX8, and a 911 Turbo are not dumb bodies. And Bits never had muscle car bodies. What makes their bodies so much better? Many ZZ are Japanese cars, and all of the Bits (except for the new Super BCGs) are Japanese cars. Why are these not considered dumb also? ZZ has a Supra, RX7, Lancer, S2000, and Skyline. So do Bits. Why are the bits ones awesome and ZZ ones dumb? I think it is the other way around since Bits are kinda squished, while ZZ are true scale and do not look squished.

ZZ are not clones. ZZ are way longer than Bits, have interchangable hubcaps, and a different style heatsink. How could ZZ be clones if they are totally different than Bits?

Tech_Lord 06-02-2003 12:06 AM

because they started off as clones, thats why i call em clones. and it doesnt really matter about the paint. If u want more gloss, then put more gloss on! and if you want detail, put it on your way. i am not really concerned with the bodies but the actual char - g is in my opinion way better than a zip zap. and to tell you the truth, they could have come up with a better name!

nrmcj 06-02-2003 12:17 AM

ugh, i dont wanna get into a flame war, and this zips vs bits thing has been beatin into the road... but here i go :D

sure, the paint jobs are nice.. and i love the pink S2K... but look at the bodies man. just LOOK at them. and then look at the bit bodies. sure bits are squished a little, but at least they look like the cars they're supposed to look like. i mean look at the zip supra.... wtf?! and the FD? what kinda car looks like that? aiya...

and the ultimate nasty looking zip bodies are the civics and the 350s... hot damn, they look poor... (not a fan of the silver painted headlights eitehr..)

sure, zips dont look squished... but they look weird... just look at the headlights on the S2K, and compare it with a real car.

a good thing about zips is that they handle high speeds much better and you can pack more cells in, but with a body like that on them, i wouldnt like it much... and besides, i like japanese stuff better :D

im sorry for pissing off the zipzap fans... now everone kiss and make up, cuz we dont wanna get banned for argueing over something that's never gonna get solved :)

crazydave 06-02-2003 01:19 AM

I don't consider Zip Zaps clones, because they started with their own unique designs. That's probably why the PCB sucked at first, but I can assure you they have worked out all the bugs, and Zip Zaps are a perfectly fine micro RCs. I sometimes think they are better than my bits, but really they are different animals, and every person on this planet should have one of each , then there would be no war, and world peace would be more than just a dream, and everyone would live happily ever after.

The End

sessiz10 06-02-2003 01:45 PM
