Formula or R-spec
Which do you prefer? I have a Formula 34 and am trying to decide if a R-spec is in my future or another Formula. Any and all advice is much appreciated.:D

R-spec all the way, dude! It's an awesome engine. Mine is a LOT faster than my Tomy 3.8 motor. Highly recommend getting it. And as a side note I've also heard a lot of good things about the 3.8 Perfection motor from Toyeast, though I haven't tried it myself. So for now I'm vouching for the r-spec.

i have both and i recommend the rspec. i love that motor. only downfall is it's a bit bigger than regular motors so it might not fit in every clone...i know it doesnt work with my lxx booster while my f34 does. i'll be getting 3 or 4 perfection 3.8's soon so when i get them i can recommend either rspec or that but for now stick with rspec...best motor i have

...i would have to say the formula 3.4!..i am having nothing but problems with my rspec motors:( .. my rspecs ran great for the first 3 weeks now they dont run persistant...

I have 3 Perfection 3.8's on the way so I will tell you more about them when I get them. I can compare them to my 3.8 tomy and one of my other 3.8's.

My Rspec was great while it lasted. I used it in my 350z and learned with the rest of em that Rspecs and booster cars dont mix. TinyRC was great about it and sent me a Formulas 34 instead. Since then I dual/tricelled my cars so going back to a regular batt and usin this it's hard to tell the difference. But it seems as tho the Rspec may have been a bit quicker. So it's hard to say. I have used my friends 3.8 perfection.... Good Lord!!! now that thing is fast. Unfortunately it's too fast for track use so I'll be sticking with what I got.

thanks!
Everybody thanks for the relplies. I have had nothing but bad experiences with thr R-spec. I am sure it is an awesome motor, but I guess I have just been unlucky with it. I have to send mine back and am going to get it replaced with a Formula 34. My Perfection 3.8 is so good to me that I have ordered 2 more from Toyeast. That is one fast little motor! The only thing I worry about it is if something goes wrong w/it how easy will returning it be? Anyway thanks for all the advice! Off the subject, I put my bitmod1 3.5 in my 350Z and the added stress wasn't so good for it. It is currently being returned for another one. Are all speed motors going to do this? Right now I have my Formula 34 in my 350Z. That is so fun to play with.:D
