Difference between controllers?
 

My friend and I raceo our ZipZaps sometimes and I noticed, that his steering buttons are different than mine. Mine has gripping, while his is smooth. My controller is 27mhz and his is 49mhz. Do all 27mhz controllers have grip and all 49mhz controllers have no grip?

when did you get yours?

me pesonally, I got a 27mhz ZZ when they first came out and the buttons are smooth. there's a thread floating around somewhere stating that the "new ZZ's controllers have that grip thing" you're talking about.

I got the blue civic in January, it's 49mhz with grippy buttons.

They came out with the raised nubby controllers back in late november. The first car I got back in oct had the smooth nubs. RS is slowly catching up, with the pcb upgrade and new bodies coming out.
