mini-x motor upgrade?

Has anyone re-wound a mini-x 70turn yet? How about a way to upgrade to a better motor?

hahaha from 70 to 18...YIKES

you know that you can use the Auldely/Tin Racer motors if you can sacrifice the 4wd...

the whole point of the mini-x is the 4wd.

Some one neads to put together a little bracket, drive shaft and gear set.

I think the independant suspension is a key component just as much as the 4wd. In the 1/24-1/28th class this car has the most suspension settings. Where i am planning to race i have to use 2wd to allow the others in the class a better chance, as the current track is kind of slick.

Many people have made 4wd versions that will work with the 130/180 motors and still keeps a center shaft. However this requires a new chassis and everything. I do remember some X owner trying to make this idea....forgot his/her name though.

I was able to put two mini-z motor can bearings in my min-x motor. It took all the slop out of the main drive shaft.
