1/10 scale
I am thinking about getting a nitro HPI RS4 RTR 3 from Tower Hobbies. Is this a good car? Should I buy it as a beginner or something less expensive. $315 for everything including the ultimate combo kit and gas.

Are you a novice at nitro? if so, its a good car, don't get any better cars at the moment, just make sure you break the engine in first

Ummm...2 personal views on the TYPE car you want.
1. Nitro is kinda like CRUDE if you ask me. Dirty noisy and not worth the cost of the gas, which gets way to expensive. the electronic ones i find more fun with. (PERSONAL OPINION) 2. 1/10th is a blast...but too costly, i used to race 1/10th both on and off road classes. The HPI is a great car though, good for beginners and still a formidable component for many races. Gas is really expensive and not quite as easy to maintain and troubleshoot (no these are nothing like normal car motors). $315 for a gas car is a steal in my eyes... If you plan to stick to learning and using nitro get this one. If you plan to race, you'll find it is easier in some areas to race electric (gas is typically illegal indoors, and where i am there is tons of snow right now limiting onroad, or even offroad cars). |
Thanks! I thought so!
