Could magnets be used instead of coils?
Is'nt it true that when you ad power to a magnet it's stronger? So if this is the case, could'nt we just run bigger wires to little magnets instead of a coil? So you would'nt break the steering wires as easily. I don't know anything about this stuff so bare with me.

Don't think that would work. You could add a third coil and battery, though.

I think this is true...if you had two magnets the exact same power it would work I think...but whats the point>?

The Motor Works cars use 2 magnets and a coil in the center if thats what you mean ???

Permenant magnets would be uncontrollable to steer the car. The point of steering coils is that they are electromagnets which can be switched on and off to tell your car which way to turn.
They're a necessary evil. |
