for those who say bits are tons better
they aint. from what i can see between my microsizer and my clones is that microsizers are slightly more precise in steering and have better bodies.
they suck in reception compared to clones. i like the bullet controller better. clones come with better motors. why are microsizers twice as much? they are far from being twice as better. im about to go transplant a clone pcb into a tomy chassis. then ill have the best of both worlds. |
hey I can handle poor reception, but steering is very important to me, plus it is easier to improve the reception then it is the steering

While I agree Bits/sizers aren't the best out there, you can't seriously say that bullets are better. Only thing I like about the bullets are the price. For quality, you have to go with Zips, Bits, DigiQ's and Iracers. All four warrant what you pay for them. Zips and Iracers being the best deal out their for quality right now.

I'm just curious...why do you keep posting this? Since I've been on this forum you've posted this same relative message about 3 times as a new topic. Do you just get bored and try to stir up dissension or something?
And I'm not attacking you or anything I just want to know why you keep posting this? We all know your opinion about MS/BCGs so why reiterate it? |
I've gotta agree with stridex. I get a crappy bit/zip/microsizer I've got a few ways of getting my money back or a replacement.

Why a Bit/MicroSizer vs. a clone? - Better built (a Bit is 'clean' no burs, my clone has pieces that look like some mule just twisted it off a die cut) - Look at the rims (nuff said) - Look at the Bodies (this may be a minor issue to some, but the clones' bodies only look 'decent' from afar. You take a closer look and 'crap' is the only thing that comes to mind...A Bit body, on the other hand looks good from afar AND if you took a magnifying glass to it, it looks even BETTER. Attention to detail was paid!) - Customer Service (Got a messed up MicroSizer? Call customer service...Got a messed up clone? Oh well, use it for parts) Now, to be fair, some of the clones can carry their own weight in worth...The cheapo 'megatoys' brand clone I got for $7 came with the pink endbell (ZipZaps OEM 2.8 motor) and the PCB actually can handle a higher current (I tested with a straight through, no load/motor test with my meter, which shows the highest output the PCB can let through. The clone was letting up to 300mA through, whereas my Bit had a ceiling of about 275mA...My ZipZaps was choking at 115mA) While I agree that Bits/MicroSizers are pricey, they ARE (when you tally all the factors) superior. You're paying for higher manufacturing standards, customer service, marketing, licensing (costs money to make those car replicas, that's why they're not making Mini-Cooper...They want too much money for the license!) |
My personal Prefrence (My newest setup) is a Zip Zap w/ a Cannonball/Thunderbolt/OEM Bullet/Bensu blue endbell "2.6" motor. In MY opinion the best motor

heh, yep.. there we go... hey pojo, about that group buy... is 3 pple considered *group*? =P

Okay what I'm hearing is Clone's are hotter, and Microsizers/Bits are better at curves. Do what I did. Take the hotter PCB out of the clone and slip it into that HONEY of a chassis on your Bit. Best of both worlds.

ok after transplanting my 57mhz cyclona pcb into my microsizer chassis i have to say that i have one bad little car now.
namuna: you are right about the rims. the gears are a lot tighter as well. once i put a better pcb and 2 batteries in this thing really screams. my final judgment on bits/microsizers horrible reception. janky electronics. the cars are really nice. i guess they are worth 20 bucks if you already have a few parts cars. oh ya the bodies are superior i guess. |
I like my bit better then micro seems i get better range.
