My Puzzle Mat Track

Well heres my 45th attempt to build a track or so it seems

I've had the mat sence Nov and have been trying different material for the boarders. 1st was drywall corner beading 2nd was metal banding from a pallet. both worked OK but I kept looking. Today at work I was checking out the shipping and receiving area when I came across this 1/4" thick plastic styrofoam stuff and low and behold I think its just what I've been looking for. I cut in 1" wide strips and use "T" pin to stick it to the mat. Works great and I can change it to any design I like :D

That's slick, I think I'll try it, I have four of those mats right here anyway...

Did the drywall corner beading you used the same as what others have used on wood and tile? It looks pretty flexible, but you have to cut the outside to get it to make curves.

Did that not work on those mats?

The drywall beading was hard to pin down to the mat beacuse it is stiffer and act's like a spring when it's curved and would pull the pins out after a while.

only about 1/4" to a 1/2" of the pin is stuck in to the mat
