Hobbico licensed the Bit Char-G and is selling it in the US as the 'MicroSizer'.

Hot Wheels has followed suit and licensed the Bit Racer and is selling it in the US as the Hot Wheels K.I.T. Racer.

Hey I have seen this design before a few years ago here in Japan.

It makes sense that Hot Wheels would buy Bit Racer. Ever since I can remember Hot Wheels toys always had the Hot Wheels tracks and you would run your Hot Wheels cars on them.

So now instead of having some lame spring action contraption to launch your Hot Wheels car for a short duration...You've got a powered vehicle whooshing around the track!

i agree with your statement completely. Days are gettin technical, we got 3 year olds surfin teh net and stuff, at least my sister does(well surfs nick jr ).

I suppose your right. when I got tired of watching my bit racer go around and around on that little piece of string and plastic you can strap it to, I was about to buy 150 pieces or orange hotwheels track off ebay for $50 cuz I couldn't find any of the real tracks for it.

i just picked up a kit racer for under $10from walmart. not a bad price for extra (2)tires, (1)battery, (1)motor cap or heat sink and (1)2.6 motor. i don't have any use for the rest but the useful parts are well worth the price.

Would you happen to know what the difference is between the 3 heat sinks? I'm not sure what the purpose of the different color and the rounded one is for.

QFM has a mod that utilizes some of the extra parts from the K.I.T. Racing set for making Monster Truck grills and bumpers.

The K.I.T. Racing set is only $29.99 at Toys-R-Us. :)

I snagged 2 KITs as well. One with the 2.2 motor and black tires (2 front & 2 rear), red gear set and the other was with the 2.6 motor and green gear set with white tires (only 2 rear tires).

I installed the 2.6 motor with the rear axle, transfer gear, and pinion gear (from the KIT) into my Bit and it wouldn't move on the ground. When I held it up the wheels would spin. But I'm not sure why it couldn't propel itself when it was on the ground. So I ended up using just the 2.6 with the stock parts from my Bit instead.

Just to note:
- Rear axle has to modified to fit in the Bit.
- Transfer gear is to small to use with the stock rear axle of the Bit.
- The teeth on the black pinion gear from the Bit doesn't mesh well with the transfer gear from the KIT racer.

is it just me or fo the K.I.T. racer motors seem to have more power. example K.I.T. 2.6 vs. 2.6 BC-G

the kit racer motors as well as all other parts are the exact same as the tomy releases in japan, down to the motors, gearing, and chargers- only differences are in minor cosmetic changes- stickers and body paint.
