Tamiya Wheelbase Sizes

Hi,
My dad is, like I, a big fan of Rallying. He is also a big fan of static models. And he buys quite a lot of them. But as he hasn't allways got the time to build them, not all of them are ready yet.
But I took my measurement tools and opend the boxes that he has and measured the wheelbases of the bodies, here is a list:
- Mitsubitsi Lancer EVO V WRC 10.4mm
- Pug 206 WRC 2000 10.3mm
- Toyota Corolla WRC 10.5mm
- Subaru Impreza WRC '99 10.5mm
- Subaru Impreza WRC 10.5mm
- Ford Focus WRC 11mm
- Ford Focus WRC '01 11mm
- Subaru Impreza '01 10.5mm
Wifdth of all the cars was about the same, 7.6mm

The size of a MiniX car: (source Mini-Q.com)
Chassis Lenght: 139mm (5.47inch.), Width: 70 mm (2.76inch)
Wheelbase Length: 103mm (4.06inch), Width: 72 mm (2.83inch)
Tire Width: 9mm (0.35inch), diameter: 25 mm ( 0.98inch)
Motor: 130 Class

So, it's a bit too short for most of the cars, maybe a distributor should try to make an upgrade kit, with an epoxy chasis where u can slide a bit the rear suspension to make the wheelbase a bit longer shorter... I will try to find something out when mine arrive here in Germany :)
Hope I could help

just a quick question:
if you know, or if you can find out...
what brand are these models?
Tamiya?

and i am assuming that the messurments you gave are in 'cm' not 'mm'
(i.e. '10.3mm' should be '103mm' or '10.3cm')

Yes,
They are all Tamiya's...
My dad also has a Revell model of the Ford Focus, and it's the same size. I think they are all pretty good true scaled. So u could find all the sizes on rally-live.com . There u can find the specs of the WRC's.

And u're right, that was pretty stupid of me, with that mm, of course it should be cm :)
