Twin Speed Conversion
Right,last time i try this,.
Heres some theory.... When u tap the forward button the car goes forward a lil bit then stops, what if we could make a switched circuit that would turn on and off the forward switch rapidly? Then we could have full speed and say half speed. It is possible. It would be like u tapping the forward button 5 times a sec, with enough taps the car would run continously smoothly. Think about it. Post ur thoughts! ask ur friends, ask ne 1 who may know, message forum members! Ask ur electronics teacher!!!! What do u think? |
I think it would be easier buying a booster car.
edit: I think you just described a booster car..... |
Yes, that is exactly how boosters like my Z work. Get one of them, a 150mAH, and a 3.5 or R-spec motor and try to not roll.
|
Yeah, if you think MAKING a booster car is a way to save money, I'd tell you to buy a booster car and save yourself the trouble of reprogramming your controller, not to mention installing a button. It seems like it would be too much work, and if you F up, you buy another car set anyway, whereas if you bought the booster, you'd still be able to use that first car and controller.
Cliff notes: don't bother |
All it is ,is a circuit which switches on /off rapidly, surely chips don't need to be programmed to just do this, there must be a shematic somewhere.
Anyway, stuff it! Is a booster worth buying or not,who has 1? to boost is it only in the forward direction? Thanx all! |
I have a booster car. It's great. You can boost in forward and reverse. It's definately worth the little extra money they're asking for it.
|
Ive emailed a few electronics experts for their help, I cant c how it would mess up the controller,
all we would be doing in theory is opening /closing the switchIf I do get something, then i will let you all know,Thanx! Why does a booster go faaster than a similar specced char g, is there a few resistors responsible? I think it may b! |
The booster car basiscally cycles the power as you described in slow mode and when you boost it, it gives full power.
In theory, if you had a booster car and a regular car with the same motor, the booster car would be slower when not boosted and the same when boosted. Many have found, however, that when boosted, the booster car is a bit faster than a regular car with the same motor. |
just resistors then!
iT A SHAME I DIDNT KNOW ABOUT THE BOOSTERS TILL I BOUGHT MY 1! Oh well, hope fully some clones'll arrive twin speed! |
