Hey DKS.....Whats up with 220mah
Are these 220 mAh batteries that you have listed on your site for the MS and BCG? If so, how long do these bad boys run? I easily get 7-9 minutes by cycling my 50 mAh NiCd, once a week. Why can't they add more voltage to the battery, rather than extended run time. I will not risk destroying my car, for more speed, to small of an area, and too fragile of wires.

See the Laymans guide to dual-cell if you want higher voltage without taking sharp spinning things to your chassis. This mod uses 40mah button cells.
Im thinking of dual-celling my clone with a couple of 60mAh button cells I robbed from an old motherboard. Ive seen 210mAh batteries, found them at good price wholesale, so will prolly be buying a whole rack of them. |
As 1/3AAA is not a regulated size, the 210mah posted here a while back is too long, so you need to cut the body apart. Plus it is still only 1.2 volts. A dual battery makes the voltage 2.4 and if you put 2 150mah batteries would come out with i think (old electronics #'s may be off) about 200mah.

Thanks for the info mate, i better check the dimensions, would be annoyed to buy 50 of the things and find they didnt fit! :D
If you double up the batteries you dont get increased capacity though. 1 x 1.2V/50mAh = 1.2V with 50mAh 2 x 1.2V/50mAh = 2.4V with 50mAh The voltage doubles, the capacity stays the same. If you put the batteries in parralell, the voltage stays the same, and the capacity doubles. |
Correct, higher mah cells are indeed longer. I would not recommend these for quick turbo upgrades, but more for some serious mods that some crazy peopl out there do. I have a 2 cell Wild Charg that uses these and I get about 5+ more minutes run time with these.
