gas powered...
 

i was thinkin.... i know it would probly be really hard to do... but out of all these threads i havnt seen one on the possibility of a gas powered bit. i do realize this is almost impossible... but what if? if we could... longer run times, faster bits, no sucking from the batteries in the controllers, just fill up and go. it would be pretty awesome... but then again guess just have to go with electric. anyone with ideas post somethin.

Actually there was a thread about this a while ago. I would love a gas powered bit, imagine slamming into a wall full speed and having your bit catch flames:eek:

I meant to use battery to power steering and also glow plugs. The rest would be gas!!!!:D :D :D :D :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool:

lol sessiz... i dunno i dont usually run into walls.. but it might be cool to find a cheap bit on ebay then convert it to gas powered and just drive right into a wall.... lol.:rolleyes: but i would like help on this(i have a zz which i think sux compared to the bits, which i havnt moded though so i could mess around with that one..)to make it gas powered... thanks

I highly recomend a pcb swap for your zip, over any other mod. I've touched my bits twice since I got my zipchar-g. Literally the best of both worlds. Bit speeds and zap looks and handeling.

hm a pcb swap... wouldnt that be a little tough? and they dont really sell pcbs anywhere. and if i did find one... what kind or from what car should i get it? cuz my zip zap.... well its not very great at all.

Well, it aint easy unless you're good with a soldering iron.(that's why I take my cars to my mechanic)
The pcb off of just about any clone will do. I recomend a panther or a precious, cost is average $12-$15, but you also get a parts car for your bits. A stock zip with a dks 2.6zz or 2.8zz will scream but even if you add a dual bat to the zip which can be hidden in the chassis it will boost it up to bit speed.
If all you care about is speed and tracks don't come into play that much then by all means don't bother modding and stick with a bit.

well actually i did not say all i cared about was speed... what i actually said was the zz sux compared to the bit. my zz gos about 1/4 the speed of my stock bit. thats pathetic. sure it has great handling... but at that speed i think anything would. and i already know the dual cell would boost it... but id rather do it to my bit. but thanks anyways

Well actually I was just trying to give you some advice on how you could get more out of a zip that "sux". I can tell you that my pcb swaped zip with a 2.6 and red gears has better control than my bit with the same setup (you need skill to take a turn with a bit at that speed, other wise it's donuts) and equal speeds in the straight. My stock tomy bit came with a 1.0 out of the box, that's pathetic.

omg, a gas powered bit would rock, we might even breack 7mph. Olny problem is think of how hard it would be to build. Full size engines now are build, but think of a .5 (or less) centimeter camshaft. I dont think an expert jewler with ultra fine micro machining tools could do it.

BUT IT WOULD ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for the advice sessiz, but im not that good with solder... so i dunno mayb when i get better ill do the pcb thing to my zz. but my bit came with a 2.6. but o well. ya were off the topic alot, lol. but anyways, this would be a cool thing to pull off, gas. could even make it sound cool:D

Imagine the fart of that little bit as it speeds by, lol.
The exhaust (sound) would be wonderful. I would pay hefty for a nitro bit.

hahaha, i dont know if it would be house practical... the smell of gas burning in the house.... yuck. but ill have to start reading about gas powered rc cars and stuff over the summer. see if its feasible to do it on a bit.
