Problem
 

I have the black Civic, 27mhz controller. Opened the controller to fix the steering buttons and now the car will not go into charge mode. I can place the car on top of the charger but the light doesn't go red. The car runs fine on the charger but when i take it off it goes dead fast. Did i mess something up?

Did you check the batteries? Maybe they're too low.

Tried that the batteries are new. Did i maybe break a connection? Sodder or something?

Sounds like it might be a disconnected battery in your car. open it up and check under the PCB.
