ZZ parts on MS

i was going to go buy the F & F kit from rs and put the motor in my MS (wil it work?) but i heard the FF kit comes with more then jsut body and motors what else is in it?

Hatchet_Dan 12-28-2002 11:34 PM

ok found out wehat sin the tuner set now will all the parts that come with it fit on my car? like the susp parts and the gears?

Snow 12-28-2002 11:48 PM

Ok here's what I know for sure: You can use the motors and the tires, and some clever people have been able to use the wheels too. The bodies won't fit, though.

Here's some speculation: The suspension bars might fit, but I'm not sure. I've only seen a ZZ once in person.

But you could always trade or sell the parts you can't use in the ZZ forum.

ya that'l work i'll trade 2 zizap f&f bodys for a bit char-g supa! ;) sound like a plan to me now only if i had money

yeah the suspension arms will fit...kinda tight but they fit. Also they're a LOT harder than BCG suspension arms so unless your building a drag racer they aren't very good. And also you forgot to mention that the gears also work in bits as well. Just thought I'd make a side note. :D

I bought me some ZZ parts and used the wheels for the full size front wheel mod and the gears and the motor but the suspension wouldnt fit the prongs that attach it were to short.

thanks guys

ZZ parts

I can second (or would it be 3rd or maybe 4th... I dont know its too freakin early and I am already at work :o ) All the parts worked for me except obbviously the bodies, the motors are a tigt squeeze though, I did a small mod to the motor to make them fit better. (I think there is thread somewere on this forum about it) The turbo motor which is rated at 22,000 is quite a bit faster than my stock 2.2 though, the NOS motor is fast but takes a sec to get there.

Yes, the motors will work. The zz motors are a hair longer than the bit motors but some people have either forced them in there or modded thier shell to make it fit. For me, I took a dremel and sanded off the extra bump on the end of the motor and it works great. The rims work good too but you'll have to sand down the chassis a little (see this thread) . See my pic of my car and motor .

ChouDawg 12-29-2002 01:53 PM

okay well
1)Motor fits for sure no cutting for me
2)Suspension fits stiff though
3)The gears dont fit, unless you have a lil ingenuity lol IM me if you wanna know how SN ChouDawg
4)Rubber Tires, all work cept for the front, too big
5)Shell's Chasi (sp) too short for the long shell on ZipZaps

SPEED 12-30-2002 02:25 AM

i've been able to use all the ZZ parts except the bodies and motor heat sinks (ofcourse) I really like ZZ parts because they're cheap in price!!

VuN86 01-12-2003 11:08 PM

yo guys for the full wheelset mod are the turning knukles exactly the same size for the MS and the ZZ?

the ZZ gears are they the correct size for a bit like do they fit nice and snug or are they a bit wobbly because zz's are wider to aren't they? also are they nice and quiet or are they a bit loud and grindy
