Simple range mod, Has anyone tried.....
 

If a person who owns a MS or BCG, tried shaving the plastic cap on the Antenna until the metal tip of the antenna is exposed, would this allow the waves to easier and more directly reach the car? Has anyone tried this? Simple suggestion, probably too simple to work

That would do very little to nothing. The increase in range is negligable because your range will fluctuate as the battery charge drains much more than the amount of distance you gain, so you could get range frmo 10-15 feet with the cap, and 10.02 to 15.02 feet without the cap. So most of the time, you don't gain anything. And the amount you do gain will still be stuttery and will be useless. Make a new antenna for your car and remove the cripple cap and you will be glad you did it.
