zipzap not responding
my zipzap is like broken it wont respond at all. i see no problem with it. the light turns red when im recharging... lets c what else
i opened my controller and thier was this liquid that had dried up and was hard (just noticed) that came from the big silver thingy blah forgot the name something i learned what it was in electronics |

The only components inside the controller that contain a liquid are the electrolytic capacitors. One of these is part of the charge cycle timing circuit. If it leaked your car won't charge properly. One way to tell if a leaky cap is the culprit is to see if there is any white powdery residue on the PCB. Particularly around the cap that leaked. This is left behind after the electrolyte evaporates. It has a very acidic smell to it. If this is the case, you can replace the cap with one of an equal value (and that is in farads, the voltage isn't important) that is written on the side of the cap. Radio Shack and other electronic suppliers may have the cap you need. If the charging light turns red almost immediately, this may indicate a problem with the charging circuit. It could also be that the battery in your car is bad.

thier arent any odors that i smell other than the circuit itself and it isnt white... its clear like dryed glue

oo i fixed it. i scratched the liquid stuff that was touching the other parts and it works fine now
