1/4 mile, or what?

Ok, I like to drag race people, and I was wondering how long my track should be if I were to make a 1/4 mile track for my R/C car!

ctshaynes 12-14-2002 03:33 PM

There are 5,280 feet in a mile.
divided by four is 1320.
so to figure it out, divide 1320 by the scale of your rc car.
1/10 scale=132 ft.
1/43 scale=30.69 ft etc...

Ok, and a microsizer is.....? What scale is it?

8ate8 12-14-2002 11:43 PM

1/43

xatu 12-14-2002 11:54 PM

No, I don't think so, because these are 1/43 scale.... http://tinyrc.com/shop/products.php?pid=6

actually yea.. i was fooling around with one of my 1:43 scale models before i posted that, so i got confused. they're 1:64

but if you read the rules for the Mini R/C drags, they use a 10 foot (i think?) drag. so if you just want to use that size.

Ok, thanx!

here's the article.

http://www.tinyrc.com/articles/bitdra-g/bitdra-g.pdf

and they have two track sizes.. 12' and 20'

xatu 12-16-2002 07:31 PM

Hmm...for some reason, it doesn't work. This happens with ALL the .pdf files I view on the internet, not sure why...

download it to your comptuer and then open it with acrobat.

xatu 12-17-2002 07:01 PM

Tried that, it wouldn't dload! :( Well, I shouldn't say that, it DID dload, but it had no filename (ex, .jpg) I will try it again though, probably in a couple of days when I am ungrounded off the comp.. :( (my dad is sleeping right behind me, and I am SUPPOSED to be doing some homework, but meh :D)
