Do NOT use superglue!
 

Crap I should have used the search function before sticking my modded mufflers on. the super glue slid down to one of my rear fintails and commenced to eat away at that lovely metallic blue paint! i stopped the onslaught but not before a nasty plotch of white superglueyness ruined a small part of the finish. crap. well, i guess that's the price we pay. modelling cement probably would have been the way to go to save the paint.

at least my mach has twin exhausts now, just like the "actual" Mach! That pen tip idea was a great one - it took a monster effort to slice the pentips off tho - the Mach has an unusual undercarriage so it was a bit tough to place them without shaving the length of the tips.

btw the springs took the longest to tweak - not too firm/long as to mess with steering, not too wide as to rub against the steering bar, etc. finally have it now tho! Shiny chrome exhausts and evil steel shocks, ah I love my bit. I'll just pose the Mach so as not to look at that one splotch lol.

i dont even own superglue haha...i prefer plastic cement, but although sometimes your stuff can fall apart if u use cement, oh wells...just try not to hit something har har :D

btw...were u holding the car upside down when u were gluing?

Hobby stores usually carry several different thicknesses of super-type glue.

If you have problems with it running, get some Thick/Gap Filling, it doesn't runn easily...

Or leave to cap off yours overnight.... It will be thick in the morning. (Or a solid block, the chance is yours to take) :)

something about super glue makes it "fog" up stuff that it doesnt even come in contact with. Hobby shops cary "odorless CA" and it will take longer to cure but shouldnt fog up your stuff. You could also try canopy glue, it is speciallly formulated not to fog.

well the whole thing is moot now, since i drove the poor thing off the table and it landed on its back fin - yep the one with the paint smudge - and the tailfin snapped right off! UGH. well this is my beater car now, i'll keep my skylines more pristine when they arrive and i'll keep my toynami speed racer r/c on the shelf for presentation. (pre-ordered atm).

btw i superglued that fin back on, no smudges at all but you can seea black line which is the opaque plastic poking through. i'm getting better at this. my mach is turning out to be my project car lol.
