CAT5 wire!

hey i just got some Category 5 wire, and i was wondering if there is any way for me to replace my current antenna with the CAT5 without soldering??? please help! Thanks

You need to solder the wire.

First, unsolder the original antenna, then solder in the new one.
There is no clean way around it, unless you cut the original antenna and splice in the new one, but I would strongly recommend against it.

if u are serious ill take it. thats to replace the original antena right? How much more range do u get? And is it about the same size in diameter?

You could strip about 1/2 inch off your existing antenna wire about 1/2 inch above the pcb. Next strip off about 1/2 inch of Cat 5. Twist both ends together and then put some shrinkie tubing and shrink it to fit around your handy-work. Ghetto at best, but it can be done...
