people keep asking this.
Is it just me or is it that whenever i bring my bit around with me, people with the bigger 1/8th scale (rs4, HPI type) people, want to race my little bit around... I find it quite funny how they want to race a snall 2 inch r/c when their r/c's can run circles around the good ol' bit. They must feel intimidated.:D

it's kind of like in real cars. Kids in thier souped up V8s trucks line up to you and challenge you to a race because they know you have a 4cy. honda.
|
You have a four-cylinder honda?
|
I think he's referring to four-bangers in general.
As in... you've got a Souped up honda CRX, and it shows (you've got racing sponsors or something). Kids in their parents cars LOVE challenging you to little races, even if they know you'll win. It's just fun to see a different car, if you've gotten used to what you have. |
its even funnier when kids in their v8's wanna race a 4 cylinder turbocharged car pushing 260 HP (to the ground)......if you want an expensive hooby, take flying lessons or work on cars...i do both.

ScottM is right it's 4cy in general. Every Honda's and their owners tend to get stereotyped as street racer/ricer.
It's just that everyone knows a V8 has a lot of power/torque out of the showroom. Not all 4cy cars have that power from the factory (there are a few). It's just common knowlwedge but if you ever made a lot of power with your 4cy,by tuning. Is'nt that quite an accomplishment? :) Don't mean to go off topic but it's the same with those HPI's RC. They know that they have a bigger engine than your BITs and that they are faster than you, that is why they ask you that question. It's an ego thing. The BIT Char-g's have accomplished quite a feat by being that small and fun at the same time. bdcheung:Yes I do have a DC4 Integra.I don't claim it to be fast. But I claim it to be fun both to work on and drive. |
